WHEN: The second Thursday of each month

TIME: 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

WHERE: 23857 The Old Road, Newhall, CA 91321

Hope-N-Mic is an open mic night held the second Thursday of each month at the Newhall Church of the Nazarene, The Old Road, Newhall, California.

We welcome all kinds of music, secular and worship, all styles.  We only have a single rule, that it not be rude or crude, or otherwise offensive.  We are fairly open to the music you want to play, but you do need to be cognizant of the fact that you are performing your music in the sanctuary of a Christian church.

We provide refreshments throughout the evening…soda, snacks and water.  We often have a large number of people that just come to listen so this is a great place to come and try out your new music.

There is no need to register as a performer, just come on the night and register at the door.  We do things very much on a first-come-first-served basis making exceptions only when absolutely necessary.

  • Hello all,

The Spirit of the Living Christ has helped me overcome deep depression, anger resentment and ushered into my very soul the profound knowledge of Oneness and given me a message of reconciliation through forgiveness. Pastor Scott, and Danna, I would not only love to come to your church to minister in song during worship hour but I would love to sing. I sincerely believe however Holy Spirit has a different more complete plan for my ministry, to minister in the word, not just in music alone.

I have done many workshops ministering to couples seeking affirmation and help resolving conflicts in marriages, for over 17 years, both heterosexual and same sex relationships. On November 19th of this year, I was the guest speaker at my foundational church, the Emerald City S.D.A. Church which was a huge spiritual healing. There is no doubt in my mind that the spirit of God has called me to speak and encourage other in the world. I was re-baptized June of 2011.

I would be very honored if I could speak at your church. As a Married woman, I would be very sensitive to who is in your congregation. I would love to come during spring of next year during, or anytime you feel moved to invite me.

My communications experience particularly during worship service includes: Interfacing with both African American, White or Mixed, Youth, Senior and Young Adult groups. As a performer I have sang at some of the Finest Venues and Churches on the West Coast, Jazz Alley, The Triple Door, Mount Zion Baptist, Love of Live S.D.A., Maranatha, and many more.

The carrying out of the afore mentioned responsibilities and duties, involved intensive communications efforts, i.e.: initiating communications, follow up, and follow through until a given service was accomplished.

My personal trials and struggles and training, together with my penchant for detail, have all served to help make me a highly effective communicator, but more than that, I love God, and I love people.
My personality and appearance are of joy and humility. What I would bring to your congregation is enthusiasm, experience commitment, passion, worship in song and much humor.

Thank you for your comment, but I think you have the wrong church. We are at the Church of the Nazarene in Newhall, California and our Pastor’s name is Greg.
