This last Saturday, the memorial day weekend, was the first outdoor open mic gourmet hotdog barbecue. The weather was a little on the cool side, but the people were just awesome with more than 60 entertaining and / or being entertained.
Aurora Harris, the Honest Lawyer, put a lot of work and money into making sure the day was a success. Joanne Briece was honored with flowers for her friendship and faithfulness to the Hope-N-Mic program. Paul C stayed late talking to a homeless lady who was blessed with some food.
So many people to thank for providing the music: Art behind the mixing console, Dan Kirkpatrick on guitar and vocals, Al Garcia on guitar and bass, Paul Stillman on drums and vocals, Carlos on drums, Aubree Garman and Catherine Staller on vocals. Leslie Garman on piano and vocals. Bryan Chan with his special blend of Delta blues on guitar and vocals, Dave Staller on guitar and vocals, Kenneth Ernisee and Anthony A on trombone and vocals, Dave Pierce on harmonica, Neil Subbaro on guitar and vocals, Paul and Lauren Campenietz as a piano duo. Right Side Up provided three songs from their repertoire. I think I have everyone listed.
It was a great day. Here are some photos for your pleasure.
